credenza face lift and a little crowing around!!

So here she is...I used three chalk paint colors. Old white, graphite on top and paris grey. You can see in the before wax pics yesterday, the wax really can change and accent the colors. Now I know A S has her own wax and I have heard its to die for, but I do not have access to a local distributor and I really love the ease of Johnson paste wax. It stinks to high heaven...that is the only con I have run into. It is easy to apply, its cheap and requires very little buffing. I just think it depends on the situation and the needs of the furniture.

Disclaimer:  I am no expert...i am simply trying out different products to see what works best for me!!
in all her glory...
close up of the colors after i applied the wax..i used Johnson paste wax with a little walnut stain mixed in it.
this is the color before the wax...so you can see its subtle..but makes a difference.

I love a good party.......

  1. You are not going to believe I just recently finished a dresser just like this! I mean exactly. I had a client that wanted a black dry brush. It came out nice, but my middle drawers were a mess. If I was more handy I'd replace the slides. I'll post photos soon on my blog.http://paperdaisyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/decorating-with-palettes.html
